There is a common question – what are the benefits of joining NRNA Australia? Before we talk about why become a member, we need to know what NRN campaign is all about.
October 11, 2003, was the start of NRN’s campaign. This campaign was launched with the specific goal of promoting Nepal’s tourism, attracting foreign investment, and preserving its citizenship.
The question remains, what will be the rights of citizens holding foreign citizenship or long-term residency permits in Nepal? Who will take care of the property? How to invest in Nepal?
There were many questions as to whether citizenship should be continued or not. After the tireless efforts of this campaign, the Legislature-Parliament enacted the Non-Resident Nepali Act, 2064 BS and the Non-Resident Nepali Rules, 2066 BS, which addressed many issues of the campaign. However, the issue of continuity of citizenship continued to be discussed.
Friends on student visas abroad had also joined the campaign in the early days. The campaign tried hard to cover everyone, so the organization could not be formally registered. Registered as at present, the organization has National Coordinating Councils in 82 countries.

According to a survey conducted by the Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal in 2015 in nine districts, non-resident Nepalesehave invested Rs 29,855 million in those nine districts alone in 2014. 8276 people were employed.

After a long effort, in the case of non-resident Nepalese, it has been written in the constitution that citizenship will be provided with economic, social and cultural rights. In the meantime, the organization has conducted many philanthropic campaigns in the motherland. The Non-Resident Nepali Association NRNAAustralia was started in January 2005 by forming an ad hoc committee.

Australia has always been at the forefront of the global campaign for this article. In its early days, the Sydney-based organization now has a strong presence in every state. In the meanwhile, this organization has always come forward and worked for the welfare of the motherland, whether it is difficult or difficult for the motherland.

In coordination with the Australian Government and state governments, it has been lobbying for the needs of the community and conducting programs. Engineers are involved in this campaign by raising some time from giving time to their family, friends or work / business.
Is there any salary on NRNA Australia?
No, the campaigners have to pay for the tea at the meeting. There is more to losing than gaining. Money, family time and this is for what? The hustle and bustle of the NRN campaign, the need to do something for the field of Nepali identity, philanthropic work, community interests and needs, inspires us to engage in it.
The only thing you get here is soul satisfaction. Let’s add something more. Where does the 25$ membership fee go? – $5 goes to the social welfare fund, if any Nepali is in distress, we have been helping our member up to $2,000 and up to $1,000 in case of non-membership. State Committees conduct fundraising campaigns if more assistance is needed. – $5 goes to ICC (Global). – 5 dollars comes to the state.
Who do the events that take place here?
10 dollars in the National Coordinating Council. From where you run national level campaigns, programs. The current team, which was able to help as much as it could in the event of a fire in Australia, facilitated many Nepalese living in Australia during the Covid period to return to Nepal, campaigned to help students avoid hardships, as well as their calendar events. Meanwhile, work has started in the field of NRNA Foundation, Policy Institute and others.
They have been conducting programs in collaboration with Nepali businesses only, but during this tenure, programs have been conducted in many states in collaboration with the state and the councils here for the sustainable development of the organization. If we have more members in this organization, we can make big government projects community focused.
Having more members in this organization is also a way for us to strengthen our presence in the government sector and other sectors. There are also some weaknesses in this campaign. The community’s expectations are high, but only volunteers run the organization. If we move forward by correcting these weaknesses and working hand in hand with the community, this organization can be made even bigger. If you are not aware of their activities, check NRNA social networks. If you want to become a member and support this campaign. https://system.nrn.org.au/login
