Nepal women’s cricket team has lost the second Twenty20 International cricket match against Uganda by one wicket today. After Uganda won the toss and was elected to the field, Nepal batted first. In the allotted 20 overs, Nepal lost seven wickets and scored 101 runs. Uganda completed the 102-run target with nine wickets in hand.

At the same time, Nepal is trailing 2-0 in the five-match Twenty20 International series. Nepal was defeated by 12 runs in the first match. Nepal will play the third game on Thursday. To win the series, Nepal now has to win all the remaining games.

Nepal’s opener Bindu Rawal scored 26 runs and Sarita Magar scored 22 runs. Kabita Jaishi could not open the scoring while Apsari Begum scored three runs and Sita Ranamagar scored six runs. Rubina Chhetri scored 17 runs while Dolly Bhatt remained unbeaten on 9 runs. Uganda’s Janet Mbabaji took two wickets while Konki Awake, Evelyn Anipo, and Rita Musamali took one wicket each.

Uganda’s Musamali top-scored with 39 runs to reach the target of 102 runs. Franklin Nazumba scored 19 runs while Mbabaji added 16 runs. Others did not perform well. Nepal’s Kabita Kunwar and Sabnam Rai took two wickets apiece. Sita Ranamagar and Rubina Chhetri took one wicket each.
