Nepal reported 2,010 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 660,788 on Wednesday afternoon.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 425 new infections in the past 24 hours out of which 294 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 62 cases in Lalitpur and 69 cases in Bhaktapur.
According to the Health Ministry, a total of 8,108 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours.
The ministry did not mention death reports of the past 24 hours. The countrywide death toll has now reached 9,430 with 26,647 active cases.
According to the ministry, 614,711 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 1,606 of them recovered in the last 24 hours.
